What Has God Done?

Episode #3 will be focus on asking the question, "What has God does in light of our suffering?"
Is God really distant and careless toward His creation's condition? 
OR
 Has He, in love, provided for us a remedy that impacts our lives here and now and into eternity?
I will discuss how God has provided for a solution for us related to sin's damaging effects and what God has given believers to be able to go through hardships in our lives now.
All that sin stole and damaged, God brings back and redeems through His Son Jesus Christ.

Where Does Suffering Come From?

If suffering and evil does not come from God, then where does it come from?
The episode will bring us back to the Creation account to see the condition of all that God made and what happened that brought about dysfunction: suffering and evil.
I will cover where suffering and evil came from, why suffering affects all of humanity, what our current condition is, and the hope there is for believers.
 

The Character of God

As we begin the new series on Understanding Suffering, let us first begin with the character of God as our foundation. 
I will dive into God being loving, morally good, all-powerful, sovereign, and just. We will learn about what His Word says about who He is and allow that to inform our perspective.
While our circumstance and emotions may change in suffering and hardship, the character of God will not. He can be relied upon and trusted.

What Believers Can Lose

Episode #6! 
 This episode will cover why some struggle with eternal security and what a believer can lose/ the consequences of their disobedience.

Judging the Salvation of Others

Episode #5 of the series, Salvation's Source & Security!
Topic: Judging another's salvation or even a professing Christian by their outward appearance.
Have you heard someone say, "They could never be saved. They ________."
^Is this right or wrong?
-Is the outward appearance reliable?
-Where does this idea of judging other people's salvation come from among Christians?

This episode will cover personal assurance: how do you know that you are saved for certain? What do you look to for proof of your salvation? Are regret of sin, repentance of sin, confession of sin, good works, and fruit of the Spirit reliable measurements for salvation?

In this episode, verses that can be tricky to grapple with or verses people often hear used to communicate that our salvation can be lost are studied through context & clarity sought about what they are communicating.

Why is it important?
Depending on where we land on the issue, what is called into question?
In this episode, we'll explore the importance of this doctrine, what the implications are of the doctrine that salvation can be lost and why that contradicts God's Word, and what a person really is relying on (self or Christ) for the assurance of their salvation.
God's character (His faithfulness & His power) and the effectiveness of Christ's sacrifice will be covered. Along with the difference of a believer's condition & position.

We also talk about three different perspectives that are prevalent around this discussion.
I will also share where I have landed on this topic because of my study & understanding of God's Word.

We will talk about four points that are helpful to include in our evangelism to others, how to include God's Word in our Gospel presentation, to clarify someone is saved through believing apart from any human efforts, and how to distinguish between the method and the substance of our message!
